The last two years have been unusual ones in all schools throughout the country. Each in their own way had to prioritise Health and Safety over everything else, and the  time and energy of the Board of Management was taken up predominantly in ensuring that protocols and procedures were in place to help minimise the possibility of members of our school community contracting Covid-19. That being said, all else did not come to a standstill and a number of other initiatives and  projects were taken on by the Board of Management or by staff, with the co-operation and blessing of the Board. The Board of Management Annual Report for 2020-21 which outlines some of this great work is available by clicking here or by searching the "Parents Communications" section under the "Parents" tab.

It was wonderful to see you all arriving in with smiles on your faces on Tuesday morning and even more wonderful to note that the smiles seemed to last right throughout the week. A special welcome to our new Junior Infants, and also to six other new pupils who have joined different classes higher up the school. All seem to have settled in very well and we hope their time with us will be happy and fulfilling.

At present, every school in the country is updating their Admissions Policy. We are in the final stages of this process and expect to publish our updated policy here on our website in early October. Please be aware that 14th January 2021 is the date on which our school and all schools in the area will be accepting formal applications for admissions for September 2021. If you have already filled an "Intention to Enrol" form for September 2021, we will contact you in January to let you know how you should proceed with your application. If you have not already done so and hope to secure a place for your child over the next few years, feel free to fill an "Intention to Enrol" form and send it to the Secretary, Bennekerry N.S., Co. Carlow. This does not entitle you to a place in the school, nor does it place you higher up on the priority list. It simply means we will be in touch in the year prior to that in which your child hopes to come to us, and we will send you on the formal applic ...
